Privacy Policy

We are ordinary citizens standing against extraordinary injustice. We created Stand and Be Counted to unite moral voices in a visible stand against genocide, apartheid, and political complicity. We take your trust seriously—and that includes how we handle your personal information.

What We Collect

When you sign the pledge, we collect the following:

• First name
• Last name (only the first letter is displayed publicly)
• City and state
• Street address and ZIP code (not displayed publicly)
• Email address (optional; never displayed publicly)
• Comment (optional)

What Will Be Public

To demonstrate the scale and geographic reach of this campaign, we publicly display the following:

• Your first name
• First letter of your last name
• Your city and state

This public display is part of what gives the pledge power—and is required for participation.

Comments are not currently displayed on the Honor Roll, but may be curated anonymously in the future to highlight the voices of supporters.

Why We Collect This Data

• To demonstrate voter presence and pressure to elected officials
• To build a visible, geographically grounded Honor Roll
• To share campaign updates (only if you opt in via email)

What We Will Never Do

• We will never sell or share your personal information with third parties
• We will never use your data for any campaign other than Stand and Be Counted
• We will never publicly display your full last name, street address, ZIP code, or email address

How Your Data Is Stored

Your information is stored securely in a private Google Sheet and/or encrypted database, accessible only to campaign administrators. Location data helps us track geographic spread and may be used to organize future outreach efforts by region.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request removal from the public Honor Roll
• Withdraw from the campaign at any time
• Request deletion of all associated data
